As soon as I opened the bag and smelled this tea, I knew it was not going to be what I'd hoped for. Jasmine is more of an undertone, with the primary flavor perhaps being the grenadine used in the vanilla blend. At least there it is advertised so you know what to expect.
Still, the scent was pleasant, if not what I wanted, so I brewed a cup. It came out bitter, even though I brewed it to the temperature and time instructions. I've tried reducing the brew time, the temperature, or both, but no luck. The result is always bitter and not very jasmine.
Both flavors were wonderful! I have had good Earl Gray decaf before, but never a decaf jasmine that was any good. These were wonderful!
This is an OK jasmine tea. But there's some kind of extra non-jasminey floral scent/flavor that must come from the 'natural flavors' ingredient. It's also a little more astringent than a really good jasmine tea.
Just ordered from Decaf tea and disappointed with the flavor. Very few jasmine flowers. Seems like maybe a green tea more than jasmine.
Bitter but Highly flora. I decrease the temperature on the recommended temperature. It was less bitter.
