Loose Leaf Tea

Should I Choose Loose Leaf Decaf Tea?

We are excited to announce that we have just launched loose leaf versions of our teas. Up until this point we have offered our teas in pyramid sachet teabags, and our loose leaf tea format will be a continued enhancement of your tea drinking experience. If you have not infused tea in the loose leaf format, then here are a few reasons why you might consider it.
  • Great flavor: Loose leaf tea is generally considered to be the best method to give you the most flavor. This is because the tea leaves have ample room to expand and move around your mug as they steep. This deepens the flavor and aroma of the tea.
  • More control over the brewing process: When brewing loose leaf tea, you have more control over the brewing process. This means that you can adjust the amount of tea and steeping time to meet your personal preferences. Want a stronger cup? You might add additional tea. Want a lighter cup? You might add less tea.
  • More sustainable: Loose leaf tea is less resource intensive compared to bagged tea. Bagging tea requires additional manufacturing processes and machinery to complete. Loose leaf tea simply has to be packaged in our pouches.
  • Lower Cost: You will have a lower cost-per-cup with loose leaf tea compared to bagged tea. As mentioned above, getting tea put into tea bags is more resource intensive, which leads to higher prices.

While these benefits are all great, there are some downsides to loose leaf tea. Namely, it's not as convenient as bags. It is easy to throw a pouch of our teabags in a purse or knapsack so that you can have tea on the go.

Regardless of what format you choose, you receive the exact same tea in our loose leaf and pyramid sachet teabag formats. Cheers!
